A Pieced and Applique Quilt Featuring Easy Machine-Sewing Techniques. The Trip Around the World patchwork pattern has been used by generations of American quilters. The name of the design represents the rows of various color and print fabrics which encircle the center square and seem to change the character of the quilt as each new square is added. Traditionally, each square is added to the design by hand, starting from the center and working outward. With our machine-piecing techniques, however, the design can be completed in a fraction of the time needed for hand-piecing. It's so easy, you'll never need to be intimidated by 1" squares again! This is a beautiful pattern. It has 16 girls from all over the world to applique on.
